Some words and especially some concepts have the particularity of emphasising very different meanings depending on the context. Two of these words or concepts are creativity and process. They are used constantly as if a universal agreement on their meanings existed independently of the field of practices or personal engagements.
In fact, processes are a complex equation which varies from one cultural tradition to another, from one subject matter to another and it creates different overall realities and personal engagement in a varied field of practice.
When these two concepts are amalgamated and assumed with open-ended meanings they can become a conclusion or a judgment. The latter result can be a cultural disservice to our communities and might blur the diverse interpretations of art processes. This is not due to semantics, but to some overstated assumptions which can be quite opposed to the individual creative approach of artistic practice.
My variable installations, interventions, collages, other works and projects can be seen as stones added to the creative process debate pathway and its place in contemporary society.
Process is not a step to achieve a means, but it is a whole in my art practice, an essentially investigative or experimental form of creative approach. It includes an engagement to promote passionately artistic processes to the community and potential public in interactive and inclusive projects.
